Improving Patient-Provider Relationships with LGBTQ Patients with HIV
Activity Description
Join HealthHIV and Kathleen A. McManus, MD, MSCR, MSDC, FIDSA with the University of Virginia for an interactive live webinar to discuss strategies for empowering providers to deliver affirming and comprehensive care for LGBTQIA patients living with HIV. Topics will include building trust with patients, applying patient-affirming language and communication skills, and fostering a supportive healthcare environment. Dr. McManus will discuss common barriers to care and share practical approaches to creating welcoming spaces, using trauma-informed care, and addressing the unique needs of LGBTQIA individuals.

Educational Objectives

Method of Participation
There are no fees for participating in or receiving credit for this CE activity. For Physicians requesting MOC credit, the post-test and evaluation are required in their entirety as well as your ABIM ID number, DOB (MM/DD), and a score of 70% or higher is needed to obtain MOC credit.
For Pharmacists, HealthHIV will accept your completed evaluation form for up to 30 days post-activity and will report your participation to the NABP only if you provide your NABP e-Profile number and DOB (MM/DD).
