The No Filter: Youth Leading the Way in HIV Prevention course is designed for professionals working with young people to help them effectively engage youth in HIV prevention using modern communication styles and platforms. This course will guide you in reaching youth where they are—on social media, in peer groups, and through the language they use every day. It's all about making HIV prevention relevant, relatable, and impactful.

This activity is intended for physicians, pharmacists, registered nurses, PAs, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare providers engaged in the care of patients with HIV.

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Identify effective communication strategies to promote youth engagement in HIV prevention.
  • Identify language that is relatable and relevant to youth to foster open and honest communication about HIV prevention.
  • Explain how to engage youth in HIV prevention both online and in person through social media and peer groups.

Social Worker Continuing Education

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, HealthHIV is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards have the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 1.0 general continuing education credit.

Method of Participation

There are no fees for participating in this CE activity. Learners must complete the full activity, pass the post-test with a score of 80% or higher, and complete the evaluation form. Certificates will be available on eHealthHIV.org.
